DROP DEAD ....yes it is the VIKTOR und ROlf victory

I have just recieved these four images by Viktor and Rolf. Their new collection for fall winter 2006/07 will make some past pioneers of elegance, die..Am I wrong here? Although the silhouette is very familiar to most of us for the past three or four seasons, I feel that the Dutch duo reached it's perfection. I was a bit worried after their collaboration with L'Oreal and also because their last two collections I did not like as much as their older ones.

iT's Just aNother manic Monday

Dear iDeals, So, today I had a little project with photographer John Mitropoulos and make up artist/hairstylist Stellar. I cannot give more details about it yet. Our model was Olivia, a 19 year old German  by  agency "I'M", free of charge due to the fact that girl needed some images for her book. The studio our meeting was set , turned out to be the little oasis for four friends who are more than iDEAL: designer Vasiliki Panayiotopoulou, photographer Elisabeth Moraki, Grafic Designer Joanna Kostika and Painter/Illustrator Farida El Gazzar. Oh...I almost forgot their Dog (whose name I can't recall/sorry)..Anyway, Stellar started slowly applying the make up on the girl and John putting together his lights while I was walking around the studio talking with Elisabeth.. The images show some corners of WARDA, the space of the four girls, John and Stellar working plus some images from a catalogue I found based on modern english photography..Here you see the works of Karen Knorr and Loretta Lux, two of my favorites plus a painting by Farida. The clothes hanging belong to Vasiliki and the detail on the wall shows Michael Douglas wearing the type of clothes that make the iDEAL modern casanova.(the picture is from the 1970's though)..

Pollaroids of my past..an iDEAL retrospective

Dear iDeals, finally today I feel better, with strenght to carry on..The photoshoot I was supposed to pose for today is cancelled, because my friend/photgrapher John Mitropoulos insisted that I should get better first. While alone at home, I opened my photo box and here's what I have found..I am sharing with you some pollaroids from the past..You can see clearly myself in make up for previews carnival parties,my fitting at Yiorgos Eleftheriades where I was modelling his clothes, when I was skinny and beautiful, Fernanda Tavares posing for me, Katia Z. doing the same, mY close friend Panayiota wearing a red turban, Alana-the model who's traces I have lost, Andreas who lives somewhere in Athens, Giorgina F who is a make up artist and my ex flatmate, Nicholas Georgiou, Mia (Marc Jacobs favorite model) and myself in Guttler and Cross glasses.. At the time I was staying at a huge appartment in the center of Athens with Giorgina F                                                                                                                                                                 This is so crazy...All five of us (the one missing here was taking the pollaroid) were dress as " Miss Something: Tahiti, USA....this is backstage at Loukia Couture, some four years ago and I wanted a snap wearing this fur hat.Alana as a gift from Paolo(you know which Paolo-photographer- I'm talking aboutfERNANDA tAVARES..EX Brazil Famous juicy modelthis image was taken in the suite of Hilton Hotel. At the time I was working as assistant stylist for the Greek version of L'officiel. The make up artist for that day, Manos Vinichakis wanted to "paint my face" and naturally I could not resist .It was  more than iDEAL, the fact that a person so famous in Athens for his work, liked my face as his pallete. This is Andreas follwing the "sports trend" that was in the air at the time...I have lost his traces now though..It's sadALANA IF you see this contact me at my email filep.motwary@gmail.com

jerry hall please hypnotize me with your eyes

Dear iDEALS. I am ill! Since this morning I cannot move, eat, drink, have sex, talk on the phone, write a report, watch a film, cut my nails( brushing my teeth and having a shower was the hardest thing to do today but the mission is accomplished), invite friends over, talk to my mom, send emails, read emails...I have fever (not the one Peggy Lee describes) Anyway, instead of posting my picture, I wanted to share with you this amazing and healthy looking Jerry Hall by Norman Parkinson.

It was Thursday evening and I was invited to the launching of www.intothepill.net which is a site put together by various artists. It is actually a "space" where you can see videos from different people..The opening was at E31 Gallery in the spooky neighbourhood of Psirri, I went with my friend/model Alex K who is responsible for this picture of my back side, walking in the corridors or the Metro station, on my way to the event. We got lost in the way (as always) feeling scared and afraid of the area..It is so disgusting there. It reminds me rue d'Aboukir in Paris ..Awwww!!!!!!!At the Gallery, which was smaller than I excepted, there were private cabins, where you could lock yourself in and watch videos from seven different artists: Lina Theodorou, Katerina Kana, Vasilia Stilianidou, Mary Zigouri, Yiannis Isidorou, Nikos Vinsky Tzaferides and Nina Kotamanidoy...My favorites was Katerina Kana and Mary Zigouri..Don't Ask me why..Click the link to view K.Kana's "Magic": http://www.intothepill.net/itp/ArtistDetail.asp?Artist_ID=4   or this link for M.Zygouri : http://www.intothepill.net/itp/ArtistDetail.asp?Artist_ID=6
Later I ended up once again at Mazonakis with my friends...It was great even though I don't drink alcohol for the past two weeks..I went home at 2:30 feeling like a Zombie and took off my APC boots to rest my feet...
