Dear iDEALS, as you may know allready the first prize for this year's Festival D'Hyeres went to Sandra Backlund, the talented knitwear designer. I called Diane Pernet this afternoon to congratulate her for the great report and I asked whether Sandra was around. Diane passed the phone and I heared Sandra's happy voice saying hello to me. Before the competition, I revealed my certainty that she was gonna win and yesterday while  receiving her award, Sandra remembered of what I told her. Of course this makes me happy, not only because the world of fashion finally has a fantastic new designer, but also for the fact that I interviewed Sandra a few days before Hyeres, here on Un nouVeau iDEAL. Dear iDEALS, last night I watched a great film starring my favorite Tilda Swinton. The film entitled "Stephanie Daley" kept me going focused for two hours. This is something new on Un nouVeau iDeal, I know. By the way I just found out that Tilda is a Scorpio like myself, no wonder why I like her so much.The image by Johhnie Shand Kydd shows the icon backstage at the Viktor and Rolf S/S 2004, in Paris October 2003. Dear iDEALS, friend/stylist Stelios F. Stylianou was shooting some clothes from the F/W 2007/08 Deux Hommes Collection today, with photographer Constantinos Tsiliakos. The studio was uknown to me, so I grabbed a cab with my other half Alex K. and headed to find them working. Naturally we felt at home after the tenth minute of our arrival and we  started having fun. The Deux Hommes collection was my favorite from what I've seen at the Hellenic Fashion week about a month ago and I considered today as the perfect chance for me to view their collection in another perspective.All images by Filep Motwary, except of course the ones my face is showing. Dear iDEALS, I am posting two more photographs by young Cypriot Harris Kyprianou. This post was baptised by myself as I feel that the images look totally 1960's, between Paco Rabanne and Guy Laroche. Dear iDEALS, my friend Nikos Ifandes came to take me out of the studio. Nikos is in the middle of a huge project at the moment. More information coming to you later. By the way, the dog's name is Peppe and wearing Maria Mastori dog jewellery. La la la.

Dear iDEALS, today was very special for me as I attended a very interesting and intiguing seminar, organized by the Hellenic Fashion Federation, to analyse the trends and secrets of a succesfull future collection. We had a local lecturer, Mr Lakis Gavalas, who is the owner of Burberry in Athens among a great showroom and a boutique in the center of Athens. The other two spokespeople were Madame Claire Esnault, former Montana colleague for 20 years and now consultant for some of the most important fashion houses in Paris.  Mister Marino Reppeto, who is also a consultant was present and gave us his vision on what a collection should be about. The purpose of this meeting was to help Greek designers to understant their position in the international fashion scene.
