FILEP at ART ATHINA

Dear iDEALS, I attented the ART-ATHINA opening yesterday. The following images are a silent example of what I experienced. I made a selection of the pieces I wouldn't mind seeing hanged on my wall, at home. I am not here to fool you. I know shit about art.Guerilla GirlsIris Van Dongen, Marieke van Hal and Maria Mastori Callas performing Filep loves Lisa RuyterFilep and Lisa having funThis is the work of my favorite artist (for yesterday) Diamantis Sotiropoulos. Diamantis, if you see this, please contact me at filep.motwary@gmail.comIt was so weird for me to see Liliana, whom I met at the IQONS.com party in Paris, about two months ago. We finally had a chance to speak sober. We were both drunk the first time we met but it didn't stop us from remembering each other. Pablo Leon de La Barra was so sweet. He thnaked me for the music cd I did for him. Finally the two most honest smiles in the whole building. This is Aurora. She came and introduce herself to me and admitted that she is a huge fan of Un nouVeau iDEAL. For me this was the highlight of the evening and naturally I fell in love with her kisses.

Stimuli Magazine

Dear iDEALS, check it out.Stimuli is an information-laden, visually-heavy, trade-oriented international magazine focusing on what excites us about contemporary culture. It is published bi-annually as a limited edition title, initially at 10,000 then rising to 12,000 - and will be available at select bookstores, boutiques and art galleries in 16 countries. Between them, our Antwerp & London-based editorial team comprises some of the most established and respected contributors in their field. Now they have joined together to create their own compendium of creativity...... We live in a world where watching TV has been relegated to the background while we netsurf for yet more creative currency… downloading bootleg dance mixes, capturing the latest film trailer, or discovering the next set of kidrobot toys - while simultaneously calling a friend on a mobile… all this is increasingly becoming a common part of our everyday lives............. Stimuli documents this zeitgeist and anticipates where it is heading next................ Created with dynamic and enterprising readers in mind, ranging in age from 25 to 45, Stimuli stands out as an international lifestyle periodical showcasing the strongest in art, fashion, photography, illustration, graphic and product design. Our mission is to inform, communicate and simultaneously entertain forward-thinking individuals in a constantly evolving society. We aim to raise design-consciousness to accommodate their voracious appetites. Our goal is to surpass standard expectations of art, style and fashion magazines. To be novel and eccentric, quirky and quintessential. Stimuli is a new platform through which artists from all genres can reach a wider audience. Many of Stimuli's conceptually driven features are being submitted by artists from all over the world. Artists that produce their own creative stimuli and use our magazine to share it with the world.

PABLO INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE, Athens Launch

Dear iDEALS, as you may know already, Pablo Leon de la Barra launced his magazine lat night in Athens. I had a little conversation with him , a few minutes before people started arriving at BIG, the bar he chose for his presentation. Pablo had this idea for his own magazine appeared eight years ago. As he explained, he wanted something between the magazines that his mother used to read in the 1970's and also a print close to PLAYBOY his dad's favorite. A mixture of great articles, ideas on architecture, art and of course sex. The party was a great success having all the Athenian art and fashion crowd dancing with a beer in the hand, the macho way....On my way home I saw some interesting corners.

ABOUT CYPRUS............

Dear iDEALS, Thursday was the last day of the group Exhibition " About Cyprus..." organised by th HOUSE oF CYPRUS, as part of a series of events celebrating its twenty years of operation. Fourteen Cypriot and Greek artists gathered together having a collective promting from a potentially political comment, as their starting point .The point sought by most of the participants and the connective tissue linking them is maintaining or recalling primary or secondary memories, seen from a critical historical perspective. Un nouveau iDEAL was there, 3 hours before the closing of this explossion of memories.SIAGREECE/ZERVASS.SocratousErato HadjisavvaStelios GavalasYiannis Grigoriades
