Dear iDEALS, while I was watching the news on the National channel of Cyprus, I saw a report on a photography exhibition by , as they called her, the first woman photographer of Cyprus. Of course even the sound of it intrigued my curiosity and this morning, before going to the offices of Isterografo, I stopped at the Melina Merkouri Gallery located in the "Walls of Nicosia" at the Famagusta Gate to see what all the noice was about. In the room's walls a quite respectable number of photographes were placed one next to the other. One could easily recognise the different years and eras from the quality of the prints. I focus on the hand painted images that Photographer Roula gave a whole new perspective.
